Tania Omotayo moves in with Wizkid

She might go on Twitter to deny this report because she once said she would not move in with Wizkid until he marries her, but it's fact! Tania practically lives with Wizkid now. Her tweet in August below.

People who know them very well will readily tell you that the lovebirds, who met over five years ago, are live-in-lovers. Tania still has her own place though and stays there once in a while, but her main place of residence is her boyfriend Wizkid's place in Lekki. It's my job to know these things. lol

Wizkid Turns Philanthropist On Twitter, Doles Out Airtimes worth N100,000

Wizkid Turns Philanthropist On Twitter, Doles Out Airtimes worth N100,000, Promises more today.. Wizkid is currently practicing what in pigeon is termed ‘chop make I chop’. The MTN ambassador took to his twitter handle to dole out loads of MTN air time to his teaming fans in appreciation for their supports. He gave out airtimes worth a 100 thousand Naira on Wednesday between 8 and 8:30 pm and promised to do same the next day at same time, on his instagram page. Indeed the tactics of winning his fans over did work as fans who benefited from the recharge sharing and fans who saw him carry out the philanthropic act couldn’t hold back their appreciation and praises to him for the kind gestures. So, if you are a Wizkid fan on twitter or instagram, brace yourself for more of this kind of gestures as the Super Star Boy has promised more of it twice in a week for the rest of the month.

Official Statement by Mavin Records on Wande Coal's Exit

An official statement from Mavin Records regarding Wande Coal's exit from the label... It is with deep regret that we officially announce the departure of recording artistWandeOjosipe, popularly known as WandeCoal, from Mavin Records due to irreconcilable differences. Over the past few months, Mavin Records has made a concerted move to consolidate its position in the Nigerian music industry. Mavin has pursued a renewed ethos to raise its standards of quality and professionalism to a world-class level.Wande’s vision has not aligned with ours and a few months ago all parties mutually agreed that a separation would be the best course of action. Legal parties on both sides have spent the past six months trying to reach an amicable solution in terms of musical property rights. However the decision by Wande Coal to release ‘Baby Face’ purportedly as his own material is a direct breach of intellectual property law and compelled an immediate clarification on our part. Both Mavin Records andWandeCoalhave enjoyed a remarkable run in the course of their working relationship. It is unfortunate that conflicting priorities contributed to the premature curtailment of a hitherto fruitful accord. Mavin Records reaffirms its goal to constantly provide high quality music to our fans and introduce new and exciting talent into the industry. We wishWandeCoalthe best of luck in all his future endeavours. Signed Management Mavin Records Ltd

Oh my! See the stab wounds Davido's bodyguard received during club fight + statement from Davido's camp

You saw the tweetsyesterday from people who said they witnessed the fight at the club early Monday morning...now Davido's camp have released pictures of his injured bodyguard, TJ, who was allegedly stabbed twice, in the neck and the hand, by the DJ of the club. They also released a press statement explaining what happened that day. Find the statement below and more photos of TJ after the cut... The facts: DJ Jaydee of Grotto stabbed Davido's bodyguards, evades police Falsified accounts of a recent incident at the Grotto club on Sunday have made the rounds. Davido’s Management hereby wishes to clear the air on them with the statement below. After a successful outing at a recent concert on Sunday November 3 at Eko Hotels, popular musician Davido headed to the Grotto Nightclub on Victoria Island. After a brief stay at the club, Davido and his crew proceeded to his vehicle outside to head home. Upon entering the vehicle, he realized that his ATM card was missing. His body guard TijaniOlamilekanOgbeidebetter known as Teejay got down from the vehicle to search for the ATM card in the club.

Upon alighting, he was accosted by an already drunk ‘DJ Jide Jay Dee’who had in his hand a champagne flute. This DJ Jaydee informed Teejay that he had the ATM card in his hand and would like to personally deliver it to Davido. Teejay politely asked him to hand over the ATM card as it was clear that Davido was right in his view in his car. DJ Jaydee refused to hand over the card without payment and instead proceeded to shout that he knew who Davido was personally and that he [DJ Jaydee]was a known person in Lagos. Teejay refusd him access to Davido which led DJ Jaydee to throw the ATM card on the ground in anger. As Teejay bent to retrieve the card, DJ Jaydee stabbed him in the neck with the champagne flute he was holding. An oblivious Teejay threw him off his back and proceeded to return the ATM card to Davido. As he was entering the car to leave, one of the occupants noticed the stab wounds and called his attention to the blood. Teejay promptly alighted from the car and went to confront DJ Jaydee who was still yelling outside.DjJaydee apparently not done with his violence stabbed the bodyguard a second time, this time on his hands and ran off into the club. Teejay searched for him to no avail and left the club soon after. Tijani Olamilekan Ogbeide has since reported the matter to the police and they have been to the club to invite DJ Jaydee for questioning. Grotto has been unable to deliver DJ Jaydee to the police, instead malicious and falsified accounts of the incident have found their way on social media portals being championed of course by sources intent on casting vile aspersions on Davido and his bodyguard Teejay. DjJaydee is yet to surface.Tijani Olamilekan Ogbeide has pressed charges to this effect. Davido’s management categorically refutes all the allegations of violence as insinuated by some. Teejay was carrying out his job by restricting access to Davido from an unknown and obviously inebriated and violent individual. He performed his duties as bodyguard and instead of resorting to violence, followed the dictates of the law.Members of the public and fans should please note that Davido was not present at this unfortunate incident that occurred that night as erroneously reported in a few quarters. Thank You

LIB Exclusive: Tonto Dikeh 'collaborates' with D'banj

There's a lot of stuff that happens in this our entertainment industry that I hear but decide not to write. A lot. Half of them y'all will not even believe. Lol. But here's one that I think all you 'amebo lovers' should know. Tonto Dikeh and D'banj have gotten quite 'close' in recent times. She has been seen severally at D'banj's home in Lekki. She's recording songs at the studio in his house and whenever she records late into the night, she spends the night there. Now, I'm not implying anything o, I'm just stating facts. And you don't have to believe my story o...hehe. Quite a few people have seen and interacted with Tonto at D'banj's place and some even think she's his current babe because of how much time she spends there and some of the 'things' the two stars get up to ... but me I don't know that one oh, all I know is that she spends time there to further her music career and I do not know if D'banj is planning to sign her to his record label but he once saidthat if he signs her, she will blow! Meanwhile, I hear the new song Tonto is recording at D'banj's studio is a banger. We dey wait to hear am..:-) Oh and by the way, Tonto Dikeh once dated Don Jazzy! End of my amebo...#runsaway...:-)

Wande Coal releases original studio demo version of BabyFace he did with Don Jazzy

More on the song controversy. Wande Coal just released a studio demo version of Baby Face which he says he recorded with Don Jazzy last year. Listen to the song below...

Wande Coal's Baby Face producer Shizzi speaks out on controversial song

Top music producer,Sheyi'Shizzi'Akerele, who produced Wande Coal's version of the controversial song 'Baby Face', which Don Jazzy says was stolen from him, has released a statement explaining his involvement in the whole issue. He mentions that he produced Wande's hit song 'Go Low' which he never got credit for. See his statement below... I have heard and seen some folks rants about me stealing production credit for Wande Coal's new single "Baby Face" and I would like to clarify this issue. I was only doing my job by making the beat for Wande and that's what I did. I don't see any reason why people should jump into quick conclusions without taking their time to really dig into the matter for facts. Two years back, I remember I created a demo for Wande Coal's "Shawty Go Low" and someone else took the credits. I was in shock because I had plans to finish the song with Wande and was hoping it would be released as a single which I produced. Here is the link to the original version of "Go Low"Find the song after the cut...

How long did it take you to plan the party? It took me two days to plan Was Iyanya involved in the planning? I did not involve him at all. He had no idea till he got there. Can you estimate how much the party gulped? We spent $19,000 You also gave the birthday boy a nice gold Rolex, how much did it cost you? $25,000

"I dont Belong to Illuminati Or any Secret Society..I’m not better than Dagrin" - Olamide Cries Out!!

Olamide Adedeji, 22, popularly known as Olamide has no doubt taken over the mantle of leadership as far as rap music is concerned in Nigeria. Born on March 15, 1989, Olamide never hesitates to promote his roots, Bariga, Lagos, in his music. In 2010 he hit the limelight when he dropped the lead single from his debut album,Eni Duro, which transformed him into an emerging voice on the Nigerian music scene. Overnight, the final year student of Mass Communication from Tai Solarin University became the beautiful bride as he was courted by established acts for collabos before breaking away from his mentor, ID Cabasa, and starting his own label,YBNL Nation. One thing that sets this rapper apart is his ability to code switch while on the mic as he flips between Yoruba and English effortlessly. Olamide has performed live on big stages all over Nigeria and he is most definitely a street favorite with the release of his debut album,Rhapsodiand now, talk about a third studio album,Baddest Guy Ever Livethis rife following the success of his sophomore effort,YBNL. In this exclusive interview withSUNNEWSOlamide bares his mind on issues including the late Dagrin. Excerpts: Could you tell us about yourself? My name is Olamide Adedeji. I’m a native of Abeokuta, Ogun State. I was born and bred in Bariga, Lagos. I’m a student of Tai Solarin University where I’m studying Mass Communication. I’m from a family of seven. How did you start out as rapper? I discovered music was in me while growing up. In 2003 I started writing my own lines and performing at shows and the rest today is history. What was growing up like? Growing up was not that rosy neither was it that bad. Growing up in the ghetto was quite challenging because you’re looked down on by kids from upscale neighbourhoods. In the ghetto I was given ghetto orientation which is never to look down on myself no matter what. Tell us about your love life? I have nothing to say about that. Late Dagrin seemed to have influenced you a great deal. What does he mean to you? He’s more like the late Martin Luther King. I call himBarrack ‘O Grin.He is such a blessing to Nigeria. He really paved the way big time for up-and coming rappers like myself back in the day. It’s not like there has not been other people before him but his impact was awesome! Dagrin is a great artiste and I respect him; he is a legend. Lately you have become so big. How are you filling the vacuum Dagrin left behind? I don’t know. It is depend on people’s perspective. I just live my life the way I feel and besides, I’m not the only rapper in the industry. There are others like Lord of Ajasa. However I’m only doing my thing. Now people are comparing me to Dagrin and that feels great. I see it as a blessing from God. I can’t say I’m the best rapper; that would be ridiculous. It’s like saying Jay Z is the best rapper. However, it’s not like Jay Z is better than B.I.G but people see the love they have for B.I.G in Jay Z. B.I.G died when he started making money and people were heartbroken. And Jay Z can never open his mouth and say ‘I’m better than B.I.G.’ The same thing applies to me too. I can’t say I’m better than Dagrin. How do you get inspiration for your music? I discovered a long time ago that rap music is all around me so I draw a lot of inspiration from my environment. I just feel comfortable being a rapper as opposed to singing. Seeing rap icons like Dagrin and the love he had for the art just overwhelms me. How do you handle your female fans? (laughter)We dey try. Behind every successful man there is a woman. For me it’s not just about a woman but women so I take advantage of it positively. I don’t sleep with my female fans; I treat them like my sisters. What’s been your happiest moment? God has done many things for me. I can’t tell which moment is the happiest but one I can remember was the release of my first album,Rhapsodi.I was so happy when it was released. That album registered my name in the annals of the history of rap music in Nigeria. What was it like meeting I.D Cabasa? I met I.D Cabasa when I went to record with a friend in a studio. We met each other and struck the right chords and the connection took off from there. That’s how I ended up having his support. And ever since, he’s been giving me that special big brotherly love. What’s your advice for up-and-coming artistes? My advice is that they should put God first and do less of unnecessary hard work. If not rap what would you be doing? For now, I don’t see myself leaving the rap world. I would rather be running a rap music label. What is the meaning of Ilefo Illuminati It is slang in my neighbourhood in Bariga, Lagos.Ilefosimply means swag. There is talk that you belong to illuminati. How true is this? I have been correcting that impression in all my interviews and I’m not going to get tired of it. I only feel I need to keep representing my own people and communicating with them in a way that they will understand me. So, I want to tell my people that I don’t belong to illuminati or any secret society. What has been your challenges? Wow! It used to be an issue of finance. Right now the major one we are facing is the issue of piracy. And it’s crazy men! I feel it should stop but I also know it can never be stopped! What are your dreams? I want to be a global brand that is why I’m looking up to God. It is not by my power but by the grace of God. I feel honoured and great that I’m one of the top profile rappers in town.
